Friendly greeting after walking in. Really busy on a Saturday night, wait was 45min, but we found a couple seats at the bar in 10. Bartenders were great, food order and drinks at the bar. Ordered a split plate of burnt ends and brisket, extra charge for a split plate. Plenty of food for 2. Burnt ends and brisket were very flavorful, didn't need sauce, but scratch sauces available. After our dinner, pitmasters were very friendly and engaging. Pitmaster suggested to stop back for smoked Ruben sandwich's next month. We will definitely be back.
We order their smoked pulled pork and smoked pulled chicken for most family holidays, Their Carolina sauce is da' bomb- so good..
We went to double B's for the first time the other day. Our waiter was really informative and very nice.. My husband had the burnt ends., the flavor was excellent, although he felt they were a little too fatty for him. I had the sliced brisket, which was outstanding.. their corn muffins are to die for, as well as the baked beans. I did not really care for their pecan pie because they smoke the pecans in the smoker, which would be fine except they must do it with the meat. It actually tasted like brisket in the pie, so I was not impressed. However, I am very picky about my desserts.! oh and we had a good time. Oh, and you have to try their homemade lemonade., yummy!
This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is always amazing! Went here for lunch on a Wednesday to meet my sisters and brother-in-law. Never been here on a Wednesday before, so did not know about the Smoked Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf! Wow! If you want to try it, make sure you come hungry because it is a lot of food! Mashed potatoes on top of thick bread with two slices of meatloaf wrapped in the smoked bacon. With two slices of brisket cross crossed on top with mild bbq on top! It was amazing! Highly recommend! The staff are always amazing and friendly! Dining room is very modern, comfortable and roomy! Easily one of the top BBQ places in the Milwaukee area! If you have not checked it out, what are you waiting for?
Love - love - love. This place has gotten much busier with popularity. I recommend making a reservation. Maddie is the best server! We've tried a variety of items and we've never been disappointed. Prices are fair and ambiance is beautiful. I finally found my favorite sauce - the mustard based bbq sauce. Enjoy!
Our server was super personable and laid back. Very knowledgeable too. I had a cider margarita that tasted like fall in a glass. Wish I would've taken a picture but I got the pulled pork and that comes with coleslaw and the most moist and delicious cornbread muffin I've EVER had. Sorry Southerners, but that includes the time I spent in the South. Side note, that's butter on top of the muffin...NOT whipped cream lol I would come back in a heart beat!
Looking for great barbecue then this is the place. The bartender was able to keep a conversation and tend bar. The baby back ribs were slightly dry but very tasty. Beans were nothing special. Wish I had a chance to eat here again as the other entries looked delicious.
We've been before and really liked it. But this time we went because it was featured in our Old Fashioned passport. Usually we just stop for drinks from the passport places but we couldn't not have dinner here too. It's too good. We went at primetime on a Friday and did have a decent wait (30+) but we did also see a lot of to go orders going out so that is an option if you're not looking for drinks. But the drinks were fabulous. And every bite of food was delicious. And the service was spot on ever being very busy. We got dessert to go so I didn't get a photo but the PB pie is delicious too! We even took home 2 bottles of the KC sauce. Sooo good
This is my go to barbecue place every time! Ambience, cleanliness, menu items and sides are my favorite! And must I say the corn muffins are out of this world!
